Terms of Service

Welcome to Cabana. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Cabana (“Cabana,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Cabana mobile app and joincabana.app. By using Cabana, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Who can use Cabana

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Cabana. By using it, you confirm you meet that requirement and can enter into these Terms.

Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity that happens under it. Let us know at hello@joincabana.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your content

You own the Picks, notes, photos, Cabanas, and Vouches you create. By posting content on Cabana, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the app — for example, showing your public Picks to people in your network. This license ends when you delete your content or account, except for content others have already shared or copies we must retain by law.

You're responsible for the content you post. Only post content you have the right to share, and make sure it's accurate — a Pick is a genuine statement that you found something and vouch for it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Use Cabana to spam, advertise, or manipulate rankings and Vouches.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you're not authorized to access.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or put other users at risk.

Trust and discovery

Cabana scopes discovery to your trusted circle. We do our best to surface quality through Vouches and connections, but Picks reflect the personal opinions of the people who make them — not our endorsement. Use your own judgment, especially for purchases, travel, and services.

Intellectual property

Cabana, its name, logo, and software are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our branding or software beyond using the app as intended.

Third-party services

Cabana relies on services like Apple, Google, Convex, and others to operate. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. Picks may link to third-party websites and businesses that we don't control and aren't responsible for.

Disclaimers

Cabana is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any Pick will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cabana will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the app or reliance on content within it.

Termination

You can stop using Cabana and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect Cabana and its users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Cabana evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Cabana after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
