We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email, profile photo), content you post (recommendations, vouches, notes), and usage data to improve the service. If you enable location features, we collect location data only while the app is in use.
We use your information to provide and improve Cabana, personalize your experience, connect you with your groups, and enable search and discovery features. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your recommendations and profile information are visible to members of your cabanas. We share information with service providers who help us operate Cabana (hosting, analytics). We may disclose information if required by law.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for data storage and authentication, which provides enterprise-grade security. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time through the app settings. You can request a copy of your data or request deletion of your account by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days.
Cabana uses third-party services including authentication providers (Apple, Google), cloud storage, and AI services for features like smart search. Each of these services has their own privacy policies.
Cabana is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
